Forrest County CWC Escapee Captured

Jackson - Forrest County Community Work Center (CWC) inmate Marcus Taylor, MDOC #134547, a minimum security inmate, who escaped yesterday, has been captured.  Taylor had left his work detail with the Forrest County Beat Three Road Department in the Barrontown community, near Petal, Mississippi yesterday at approximately 4:30 p.m.

 

Authorities had been searching for Taylor, a 26-year old black male who is serving a 4 year, 7 month sentence for a Grand Larceny conviction from Tate County.  He was captured today at approximately 12:45 a.m. in Petal by law local law enforcement officers.  He has been transported to South Mississippi Correctional Institution in Greene County and now faces an additional five year sentence if convicted of escape.
