RID The Regimented Inmate Discipline (RID) program is an intensive paramilitary program designed to rehabilitate offenders in a short period of time.  The RID program concentrates on many aspects of confinement, to include, but not limited to: discipline therapy, work detail, adult basic education, discipleship study, group counseling, alcohol and drug, and pre-release.  RID programs are currently at the following locations:  Flowood Satellite Facility South Mississippi Correctional Institution in Leakesville Walnut Grove Correctional Facility in Walnut Grove Offenders are sentenced to the RID program through the Earned Probation statute (MCA 47-7-47) which allows circuit court judges to sentence offenders to earned probation under the supervision of MDOC.    Offenders ineligible for the RID program include:  Offenders with a history of  a psychiatric disorder Offenders who are mentally retarded Offenders charged with sexual offenses Offenders with extensive juvenile histories Offenders with substantial health problems Once an offender is sentenced to the RID program, the offender undergoes psychological assessments and a complete physical examination.
