"Justice will only be achieved
when those who are not injured by crime feel as indignant as those who are."
- King Solomon
The Mississippi
Department of Corrections (MDOC) Division of Victim Services provides crime
victims who register with the department
notification
prior to an inmate's release and provides for other services to crime
victims.
We have noted
that quite a few crime victims are only now beginning to realize they
would like to receive services and support from local providers.
Obviously, with some crime victims, their energies have been so absorbed
with the criminal justice system that once the offender is sent to prison,
the victim only then has a chance to actually deal with the trauma of the
crime itself.
We are here to
serve you and help with your transition from victim to
survivor.
