Inmates are encouraged to communicate with staff and attempt resolution of complaints prior to initiating any formal action.  When a resolution cannot be reached informally, the inmate may elect to utilize the Administrative Remedy Program in an effort to obtain resolution of the compliant. 

The Administrative Remedy Program is a formal, written grievance procedure in which a complaint is investigated, reviewed, and signed by agency administrators.  This program is offered to all inmates and there is at least one level of appeal included.
